Intelligence Tests Sample Questions
Screening is the first hurdle, which most of the defence aspirants find very difficult to cross. The reason is obvious. Many times, we get to listen that, in earlier attempts, conference out or even recommended candidates, are getting screen out in their next attempts. So here we will talk about some very basic points, you must take care in screening tests.
Screening is divided into 3 sub-parts
1. Intelligence Test (verbal & non-verbal).
2. PPT (picture perception test) &
3. Discussion.
We will talk about the first part i.e. Intelligence Test. It is the first test of SSB interview. Day of screening starts with 2 intelligence test (verbal & non-verbal), then a PPT (picture perception test) and end with a discussion on PPT story. We will go in the same sequence as the tests are conducted at selection centre.
In intelligence test, simple aptitude questions are asked on Number Sequence, Direction, Coding – Decoding, Odd man out, Spotting the hidden figure, Problems on cubes and Dice, Venn Diagram ,Blood Relations , Complete and Incomplete Pattern of figures etc. If you find a question difficult, just move to the next question. You can come back to that question later.

1. As you get the answer sheet, write the following things on top corner of it. It will help you a lot in solving the questions quickly.

2. You have to use the blank space left on side corners of answer sheet for rough work.
3. As there is no negative marking in intelligence test, try to complete all questions in both booklets.
