Whenever we talk about SSB, one thing is heard very commonly. Every 2nd aspirants will say that 1st SSB is always the easy one & fresher candidates have the highest chances of passing SSB Interview. In this Article we will not try to find the truth of this sentence. Reson is too obvious. No of attempt is not in your hands. But one thing is in our hand i.e. Good preparation. We have given few tips clear the SSB interview in first attempt. Here are ten golden tips which will help you in passing SSB Interview as a fresher candidate.
Observe yourself and your environment
Interviewing board dont expect from you that you know each and everything going on in this world. But they expect one thing from every aspirant i.e. they know themself. Hence you must observe yourself well. You should prepared with all the data about yourself like your birth place, your schooling , marks percentage, achievements and bad/good habits.
In a similar manner , your must be well informed about your friends and family i.e. their occupation, income, good, bad things about them etc. There will be question like
why someone is your friend ?
Why you are close to mother or father ?
Practice always Works.
You will be able to represent yourself in better way. Practicing will help you improve in everything. Hence we advise you to practice for various Tests well before. Reason is the time limit.
There will be a very strict time constraint in each test, hence you have to practice well in completing it well in time. Try speaking English with friends and family , so that you get comfortable in speaking fluently during GD, Lecturette and Personal Interview.
Physical fitness
You must start some physical exercise before facing ssb interview. There will be long hours of physical tasks that too during peak Sun hours. Hence to look physical Fit and perform well there, your body must be in shape and habitual to these tasks. If you’ll be physically fit your personality will reflect same. It is advisable to do some regular running/light exercise.
The ‘be +’ Funda
SSB is all about good attitude, or better say +attitude. You have to show this in your psych tests, interview, GT Series or anything else.You have to reflect this quality via various ways i.e. in your answers in psych tests, your behaviour in during Ground Tasks and personal Interview.
The SSB Coaching Must or Not ?
Many of us ask whether or not to go for ssb coaching. The answer is if you have no idea about SSB Procedure , then you must attend SSB Coaching. There you will get information about each and every step. Most of the coaching academy train for 2 weeks time. A well informed person is always better than clueless guy/girl. But if you have good knowledge about SSB Procedure, then you can avoid same.
Avoid Nervousness
Nervousness will be your biggest enemy in the SSB Testing. When you are nervous, you will not be able to give your best. Only good preparation can beat the nervousness. Treat this like simple interview only. Interviewing officer or testing officers just want to know your yourself only.
General Knowledge
You must keep yourself updated with whatever is happening in your nation and around the globe. One thing i would like to clear, whatever you collect information about, get to know the things in detail. Have strong viewpoints towards anything your talk/discuss and be ready for a good debate with the Interviewing officer on various national and international topics. One thing you must start i.e. reading national newspaper.
Be Friendly your group mates
You have to spend almost a week with your group mates. There you have to perform 7-8 tasks with them as a group/team. You will not able to perform as a team, if you are not having good tuning with your mates. Since the testing is done in groups hence it is important that each one in your group likes you. Be friendly with all of them. One thing you must avoid i.e. judgmental towards others.
Dress Up Properly
Look create the 1st impression on anyone we meet. So be careful about what you are choosing to wear during SSB Interview. You have to be dressed properly according to the day/task.For GTO task, all white short/T shirt and for other tests, you are advised to wear formals.
Avoid Overconfidence
Being confident is good things, but excess of everything harms. Hence we strictly advice you to avoid overconfidence. In this situation, you will miss important instructions and will eat up all your chances of success. So even if you know everything will in advance, still listen to each and every instruction carefully.
